Toys for Saint Elizabeth

Saint Elizabeth is delighted when toys are donated to help calm fears in our smallest patients and family members.

Our ER and Short Stay areas (outpatient surgery) regularly provide donated toys to calm the fears of young patients or
youngsters whose mommy, daddy, brother, or sister was injured. We also make good use of the toys for patients undergoing “routine procedures.”

Here’s just one cute tale from Tanya Hergott, of our Imaging/Radiology areas:
One child was having an MRI procedure, and he picked out his absolute favorite animal, a horse.  The little boy was actually giggling and even neighing loudly all the way down the hallway.  He brought many smiles to all of our faces, and the look on his face was absolutely priceless.
