Saint Elizabeth Physician Satisfaction among Tops in US
Saint Elizabeth was recently notified that the excellent results they received from their 2009 physician satisfaction survey placed them among the Top 5 hospitals in the nation in the “overall” category among the more than 1,100 hospitals surveyed by HealthStream®.

184 Physicians Surveyed
Saint Elizabeth had more than 184 physicians take the time to fill out and return
this survey, which reflects 44 percent of physicians with active practice privileges
there. For “Overall Satisfaction,” Saint Elizabeth finished in the 90th percentile.
Additionally, out of the eight questions determined to be the most important predictors
of physician satisfaction, Saint Elizabeth scored in the 90th percentile or above
in 5 of them! Not only is that data excellent, but it also showed significant
improvement in 7 of the 8 categories compared with the survey of two years earlier,
which clearly demonstrates that Saint Elizabeth listens to and then acts upon
information gathered form the physicians with whom they work, according to HealthStream.
Saint Elizabeth Chief Medical Officer Cary ward, MD was very pleased by this award. “This speaks volumes not only about the quality of care delivered by our associates but of physician willingness to work collaboratively with our clinical teams. This high level of collaboration also demonstrates how well we live our core values and demonstrate respect for each other. Saint Elizabeth falls into the category of Large Hospitals, those with more than
250 beds. HealthStream awarded them an “Excellence through Insight” award. They
will be honored at HealthStream’s annual awards ceremony in Nashville.
